Fender American Ultra II Stratocaster MN HSS Aurora — Modern Performance, Stratocaster Soul

The Fender American Ultra II Stratocaster MN HSS Aurora is the most advanced production Stratocaster Fender builds outside its Custom Shop, designed for players who want modern playability and flexible HSS electronics in one instrument. Beneath the limited Aurora finish and anodized gold pickguard sits a sculpted select alder body, a roasted maple Modern D neck, and a compound-radius fingerboard. Built in the USA, this model ships with a deluxe molded case.

What Sets This Strat Apart

The Ultra II Noiseless Hot Strat single-coils and Haymaker humbucker are brand-new pickup designs, delivering classic Strat clarity and harmonic richness with zero 60-cycle hum. The onboard Ultra Blaster preamp adds a warm and punchy dB boost at the flick of a switch, pushing solos forward in a mix or driving an amp into richer overdrive without an external pedal. The S-1 switch on the volume control splits the Haymaker for authentic single-coil sparkle, expanding the tonal palette well beyond a traditional five-way Strat.

Select Alder Body Built for Resonance and Comfort

A select alder body gives this Strat the balanced resonance and articulate response that have made alder a long-standing Fender favorite. Sculpted body contours improve comfort whether seated or standing, while the gloss urethane finish protects the limited Aurora colorway and the 1-ply gold anodized aluminum pickguard.

• Body Material: Select Alder — balanced resonance with articulate response across the frequency range
• Body Finish: Gloss urethane — durable polished surface showcasing the limited Aurora colorway
• Bridge hardware — 2-point American Ultra synchronized tremolo with polished stainless steel block saddles and a cold-rolled steel block, designed for smooth pitch control and tuning stability

Roasted Maple Neck with Compound-Radius Fingerboard

The roasted maple neck is finished in Ultra Satin urethane for a smooth feel. Its Modern D profile sits between a slim C and a full V. A 10"–14" compound-radius fingerboard flattens out toward the upper frets, making string bends feel natural, while 22 medium-jumbo frets with rolled edges and Luminlay side dots keep every position visible on a dark stage.

• Neck Material: Roasted Maple — added stability and resistance to climate changes
• Fingerboard Material: Roasted Maple — smooth, responsive feel under the fingers
• Fingerboard Radius: 10"–14" compound (254–356 mm) — comfortable for chords, flat for bends
• Scale Length: 648 mm (25.5") — classic Fender tension and snap
• Nut width — 42.8 mm (1.685") with a Graph Tech TUSQ nut for consistent string spacing and sustain

Ultra II Electronics and Professional-Grade American Hardware

The HSS configuration pairs two Ultra II Noiseless Hot Strat single-coils with a Haymaker humbucker at the bridge, covering glassy cleans, classic Strat quack, and high-output lead tones. The S-1 switch splits the Haymaker for single-coil sparkle, while the Ultra Blaster preamp delivers a warm and punchy dB boost. Short-post locking tuners keep tuning stable through heavy tremolo use.

• Pickup Configuration: HSS — Ultra II Noiseless Hot Strat (neck/middle) and Haymaker humbucker (bridge)
• Special Electronics: S-1 coil-split switch and Ultra Blaster preamp dB boost
• Tuning Machines — Short-post locking for fast string changes and tuning stability
• Strings: Fender USA 250L nickel-plated steel (.009–.042 / 0.23–1.07 mm)

For the Working Guitarist Who Wants One Strat to Cover Everything

The Fender American Ultra II Stratocaster MN HSS Aurora is built for working musicians who need one guitar to cover clean rhythm work, glassy arpeggios, bluesy leads, and modern high-gain tones. Session players benefit from the hum-free single-coils and the onboard boost, while gigging guitarists appreciate the locking tuners and sculpted body contours. This Strat is the right choice for guitarists who want Stratocaster character with modern electronics and a finish that stands out under stage lights.

Fender's Most Advanced Production Stratocaster

The Stratocaster has defined Fender since 1954, and the American Ultra II series represents the most advanced production-line Stratocaster outside the Custom Shop. Launched in 2024, the Ultra II lineup pairs modern neck profiles, sculpted body contours, and the new Ultra II Noiseless Hot and Haymaker pickups with professional-grade American hardware. The Aurora colorway is a limited-edition finish, paired with an anodized gold pickguard that gives this particular model a distinctive look within the Ultra II family.
